I love Scandinavian everything; even the Christmas decorations.
Don’t hate me, but I’m usually kind of anti-Christmas, being Jewish and all. That said, I did elope on Christmas Eve in Grand Central Station, and I do love being with my (non-Jewish) family during the holidays. But that’s more about love than the hoopla of the season.
My perspective was altered after my trip to Copenhagen last November. Holiday decor there is simple and rustic. The sheepskin, antlers, white stars, branches, and candlelight are earthy and wonderful. So, in the interest of celebrating winter holidays, here’s a dose of Nordic decor, December-style.
